#66 / Quel est ce lieu ? Where are you ?

C’est vrai que l’on se croirait devant un abri de jardin design. Pourtant, vous êtes devant l’entrée d’une usine hydro-électrique, dans les Alpes italiennes. Construite à flanc de montagne, elle est si bien pensée qu’elle bénéficie de lumière naturelle à l’intérieur et s’inscrit magnifiquement dans l’espace extérieur grâce à son entrée arrondie, en bois et ciment. Si toutes les usines de montagnes étaient pensées ainsi, ce serait un paysage bien plus agréable dans les vallées…

 

It looks like a nicely designed garden house but it is a hydroelectric plant ! Yes, a true plant. Inserted inside the mountain in such a way that natural light can get inside the plant through openings directly on the moutain’s side. And thanks to this entrance, made of wood and cement, it looks just like a little local house. If all the plants in the Alps were so well thought of, the landscape would be much better in the valleys…
