Walled retreat

Retreat are usually a place to get away from the crowd. Does it need to be walled ?

Well, even if the idea seems weird, this beautiful minimalist walled retreat in China is quite convincing. This 20 room hotel also hosts an art gallery, theatre and tea house. And the walls bring a sense of peace accented by the material and architecture.
