Hospitality is known for its neutrality on all subjects. In all our archives, we find no moment when a hotel brand has got involved in a way or another in politics or society controversial subjects, especially in communications.

This has changed last week with ACE HOTEL getting involved in US politics, proposing action to its followers. They did not choose a political line but are pushing to vote for the upcoming midterm elections. And from a Portland-originated company, everybody knows what that means.

Discover the entire action on their website.

The US political situation might seem to some requesting radical decisions about what a Hospitality brand can do. This enters the territory of activism that was recently seen with Nike’s latest commercial supporting Colin Kaepernick (Colin is the first American football player to have kneeled down during the national anthem to protest against violence done to black Americans).

It also seems like absolutely relevant to the younger generation Millennial’s attitude and in line with their belief that you can actually make things change in the doing.

New Hospitality brands are not only changing the game in the way hotels are, but also in the way they act.
