The Wishing Pavilion was created for Hong Kong’s last annual Mid-Autumn Festival celebration. Constructed from 5.000 red, coral and yellow bricks to create a flame effect, the pavilion pays homage to traditional, brick burning towers. Each of the bricks contains an LED lights so that the flame-like effect can be enhanced at night. And on top of this, each of the blocks was made from a recycled-plastic material. Blending heritage and recycling material: more than a wish, a statement.
Ce Wishing Pavilion (pavillon de voeux) a été créé pour le dernier festival de la mi-automne à Hong Kong. Construit à partir de 5 000 briques rouges, corail et jaunes pour créer un effet de flamme, le pavillon rend hommage aux tours traditionnelles construites en brique. Chacune de ces briques contient une LED afin que l’effet de flamme puisse être particulièrement impressionnant la nuit. Et surtout, chacun des blocs a été fabriqué à partir d’un matériau en plastique recyclé. Mélanger patrimoine et recyclage: plus qu’un voeux, une action affirmative.
