When tourist guides indicated « Conservatory & Botanical Gardens » at the Bellagio, we definitely needed to see it. The desert around Las Vegas is a living natural space and there is a lot for people to discover, if properly presented. We had high hopes as the Bellagio is one of the classier, most sophisticated offer in Vegas. Well, don’t be fooled by the name as there are no conservation and no botanic around…. Lire la Suite

France is known all over the world for the quality of its food and patisserie. So no surprise to see a french patisserie in the Bellagio, with a french « best pâtissier »operating there. And after tasting several options, we can confirm that french quality is there. What makes the place a bit awkward is the american adaptation of french savoir-faire through decor and cakes. Enjoy the Grinch and the chocolate fountain (highest fall… Lire la Suite

When it comes to American food, hamburgers and milkshakes are everyone’s favourites. Holstein’s restaurant in the Cosmopolitan Hotel is entirely dedicated to those american icons. Great hamburgers, great milkshake propositions, in a vibrant atmosphere. The restaurant is organised around large tables for parties and families, with simple furniture. The arty decoration makes the difference, with a regular renewal of imagery. When we were there, the very funny astronaut piglet was everywhere. Cute,… Lire la Suite

Well, the spanish chef José Andres gave it a try, and the results is interesting, both in terms of restaurant atmosphere and in terms of food. The restaurant mixes chinese and mexican icons (colors, masks, images) in a harmonious fashion, creating bonds between the two cultures that were not that obvious at first. Two visually separated kitchens operate in the… Lire la Suite

The same great beer, the same wood banks and tables, the same smiling blond waitresses, the same sausages and the same – incredible – music. If you are not missing Bavaria, forget it or you will stay longer in Vegas, for sure. A summary presentation of all the trends is available… Lire la Suite

Another new hotel in Las Vegas is the very secretive Nobu Hotel. It sits on Nobu way, inside the Caesar Palace. A very discreet entry, with a sophistication in lights and materials that contrasts dramatically with the casino surroundings. So discreet, we could not get inside … So the pictures you have below come from their presentation brochure. Setting a 130 rooms and suites (only) Boutique Hotel inside the gigantic Ceasar Palace,… Lire la Suite
